Paternity

Parents who have children when they are not married, and who do not marry after birth, may be subject to a Paternity action.

Paternity law gives all children the same rights and benefits whether they are born in or outside a marriage. Both parents have a responsibility to provide support for their children and fathers have the same custody and visitation rights with their children even if there was no marriage.

Ms. Callahan can help mothers and fathers with the establishment of their rights and obligations in a court process.
